Why Meditation is a Practice

First of all, I wanna talk about awareness, I think in a world where it’s always go go go, bringing in awareness and meditation to our schedules can actually boost productivity by allowing us to see what really needs to be done and what really doesn’t.

Second of all, we wanna debunk the idea that meditation is sitting somewhere thinking about nothing.

It’s a practice, just like everything else, in order to train our awareness and create a healthy perspective. We’re not trying to turn off our thoughts and emotions, but rather get to know them better and hear them out without any judgment.

Simply put it’s the practice of bringing awareness into your life, which at Garde is what we believe is the main ingredient lackin’ in the world and the solution to many, many issues.

Soooo find what makes you forget about everything else, and that will be your mindfulness practice, research(based on the people that Tim Ferris interviewed, going from Tony Robbins, to Brene Brown, to Jamie Foxx, to Rick Rubin) show that about 90 percent of business and thought leaders have a mindfulness practice.

Anything that helps gain a different perspective, take a moment for yourself, and gain some gratitude can count as meditation. In turn that perspective, won’t take away your suffering, but can help you see it differently. Anxiety doesn’t ever go away, because that’s what makes us human but you can shape and mold your understanding/relationship with it.
